Looking for two post docs in marketing!

THE RESEARCH PROGRAMME “UNDERSTANDING NEW MARKETS”

Announcement of two one year positions on post doctoral level

Norwegian School of Management BI is running the research programme ”Understanding New Markets” with funding from The Research Council of Norway.

The programme focuses on the bio-marine sector. The programme is divided in three different but parallel types of studies depicted market-network studies, company-network studies and theme studies.

The programme is now announcing two one-year positions at post doctoral level starting January 1 2005:

Governmental involvements and the market place

Government is playing a key role in several ways on what is going on between the market actors in general. It is clearly one of the factors that will affect the Norwegian bio-marine sector in a very distinct way in the years that will follow. The ambition with this project is to focus on the long term trends and to identify and analyze the key dimensions in how the Government action effects on the exchange between involved market actors. The study has to cover the total picture but can then has a special focus on some part or some specific governmental actions or involvements.

The position includes an active role also within the total project but does not demand that the researcher spends full time at Norwegian School of Management BI.

    Technology and the market place

Technological changes are an important influencing factor on what is going on between the market actors in general. It is clearly one of the factors that will affect the Norwegian bio-marine sector in a very distinct way in the years that will follow. The ambition with this project is to focus on the long term trends and to identify and analyze the key dimensions in the technological trends existing today and their effects on the exchange between involved market actors. The study has to cover the total picture but can then has a special focus on some part or some special technological change. The position includes an active role also within the total project but does not demand that the researcher spends full time at Norwegian School of Management BI.
