Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) has achieved an international reputation for exceptional research in business and management for more than a decade and is currently rated joint first in the UK as judged by the Research Assessment Exercise. The School also enjoys a strong reputation as a global provider of teaching, consultancy and management development and currently holds a number of elite external accreditations including EQUIS, and AMBA. The world-renowned Lancaster MBA is currently ranked 3rd in the UK and 39th globally by the Financial Times.
Following a generous donation from Lady Joan Smith, and as part of the on-going investment in faculty and resources, the School is looking to recruit a number of outstanding individuals to provide intellectual, business and research leadership across the range of business and management disciplines.
Located in an area of natural beauty close to the English Lake District, LUMS offers its faculty an outstanding quality of life with excellent local schools and easy access to London and other major cities.
For this post, applicants will have a PhD (completed or close to completion), an established or growing international reputation for research publication, a proven track record in teaching, and will be willing to play an important role in the further development of the relevant Department.
The grades of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer are equivalent to Assistant and Associate Professor, respectively. These posts carry index-linked USS pension benefits.
The School is seeking to consolidate its teaching and research activities in Marketing by making appointments to two posts. In addition to the above requirements, Senior Lectureship applicants will have a record of success in developing and securing research funding. There will also be opportunities to undertake cross-disciplinary work with colleagues in other School departments.
