7th biennial International Symposium on Cross-Sector Social Interactions, June 24-26th 2020

You are warmly invited to come to the University of Limerick for the 7th biennial International Symposium on Cross-Sector Social Interactions (CSSI 2020) June 24-26th 2020. The study of interaction, relationships and networks composed of actors from multiple sectors have been of great interest to IMP researchers. These forms of collaboration are on the rise, in particular in attempts to address issues of sustainability (see Ritual and Salmi 2011 work on issue networks) or in response to emerging social procurement imperatives, which are driving new forms of cross-sector collaboration between private, public and social enterprise sectors (Barraket and Loosemore (2017). The specific theme of the 2020 symposium is Partnerships and Place, and there is a accompanying special issue with the Journal of Business Ethics (see CEP). Beyond the special issue and specific conference theme, we welcome abstracts on any relevant and timely topic related to cross sector partnering in contemporary business market settings.

Features of the conference: The conference will welcome a mixed audience of academics and practitioners which will allow for important network opportunities and the chance to form new academic relationships and partnerships. There will be a Special Issue Panel on Partnerships and Symposia Doctoral Consortium on the 24th of June. This is followed by two days of academic presentations, key note addresses, panel discussions and a policy forum which amongst other themes will address the issue of research impact and translation between research and practice.

The deadline for abstracts is 31st of November 2019. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with the chair, Dr Annmarie Ryan, if you wish to discuss your paper or to get more information on the conference: Please visit the website for more information.
